Simple, right?

Trillions for our national budget are too complicated: Hard to rationalize. And the 38 1/2 billion in cuts sounds like a lot. But removing 8 zeros makes it rational. And the cuts some are proud of are fucking irrational!

Pardon me, but this is bullshit.  If you want to compare the United States Federal Government to a family, then you damn well better mention that the family would have several hundred trillion dollars in its savings account. And mention the fact that the family is such a huge part of the world economy that it is effectively borrowing money at a negative interest rate on 15 year loans.
I’ve pointed it out a hundred times - people who talking about the national debt are doing so because it sounds scary to people who don’t understand all the details. It’s a cheap and easy way to score political points. 
And even if it actually was a big deal? Worrying about it when you are faced with 9% unemployment and millions of families who can’t afford to pay their mortgage is just asinine.
